Baseball is taking over our family! Kiddo is finally old enough to join the baseball league I coordinate (not sure this is the right word). After watching me go off to ABL (Adventist Baseball League) each Sunday during the season for 2 years, she can come too. Opening day was rained out, but today was beautiful!!!
Kiddo and Lisa showed up on time to play and had a great time. Of course, the most important part was the pink glove and pink ball. But, the Mommy loved seeing the girl play and looks forward to rest of the season together.
I love watching her grow and develop and get involved in "growing up" things.
It's also really great to watch all the other kids enjoy the game and learning so much. It rejuvenates that thing which is within me that drives me to continue doing my job. The idea is that by providing opportunities and guidance these children will be encouraged to develop a relationship with Jesus and our church. I hope that by being there we give them better options for "Christian development and spiritual growth" than they might otherwise have.

It's so much fun!
Whoever thinks that church can only happen in a church is right up there with those who think that education only happens in a school. ABL is an incredible ministry and I'm glad that you are getting to reap some of the benefits of all your blood sweat and tears over the past few weeks/months. And I'm doubly glad that it is turning into a family affair! !!! Hooray for pink baseballs!
