Today, after a couple of instances, I made the comment to my sister. We must be African or something. :)
See, Baby Boy has been sick and subsequently wants to be with the Mama all the time. Touching the Mama the whole time! This is extremely wearing when there are things to be done and places to go. After several "episodes," I finally decided I would try tying him on my back. Much the way the African women do. And voila, he was content for the next 20 minutes while we continued to do what needed to be done. It was a good feeling.
We went shopping this afternoon and Kiddo joyously tried on her clothes (which we already purchased) while Bubby and I tried on our choices. When she was done, she packed up all her clothes in the bag, rolled it up, and put it . . . on top of her head. "Look, mommy, I can carry my clothes on my head!"
Yes, indeed, you can take the girl out of Africa, but you can't take Africa out of the girl! WE ARE AFRICAN!
Have a good week!

HeHe!!! That my dear is quite funny :)
I see you blogged at 11:36pm, presumably the only time of day when the baby WASN'T attached to your body in one way or another. I'd love to get together and compare tying techniques...
You got it, Leilani. Perhaps we can schedule some time in. :)
Kate, it may sound funny, but. . .
