Crazy Kindergarten Parents/Grandparents!
I have held, for the last three years as I have been associated with our school, that Kindergarten parents or certifiably CRAZY! From the first day of school when some refuse to leave their children "alone" to the graduation at the end of the year, these parents are in a class all their own.
On August 21, I joined the ranks of the crazy. And while I like to think of myself as a tad less certifiable, I am aware that with all the firsts that will come this year, I am totally crazy! What else could explain my elation at Kiddo's statement that she's going to obey all 6 rules in her classroom? Craziness I tell you.
However, the truly CRAZY, CRAZY people in the family are Grammy and Gramps. Grammy who phoned at least every half hour on the first day of school to see how things were going. Gramps who took pics of everything from the line to the tour. And maybe Bubby too who phoned me numerous times to tell everything I needed to check with the teacher and what I should tell the teacher and what I should look out for.
Truth be told, the CRAZY is all motivated by a deep and love and care for the well-being of our precious one, but to the casual observer it certainly looks just CRAZY.
Thank you, loved ones for caring so much. And thank you for making this first week of school truly memorable. (Thanks Leilani for reminding us to celebrate with a meal together!)

how cute!
I haven't seen you since Day 1, but I am assuming everything went well. I saw Teacher at church this week and the only child who had separation problems wasn't yours. She did say, however, that it cracks her up to see YOU (your expressions, etc) showing up on your daughter's face. Good luck for this week, the first full week!
Where did you find these crazy people? What a cute cute school girl! Do you share?
