There is a good explanation for my absence. Really. I've been busy!
I know, it's not a shock.
The reality is life's been a little crazy around here, but oddly reassuring in a sense. Hubby's been working job #1 for 4 or 5 days each week and then going out of town to work job #2 for 1 or 2 days a week. It hasn't been as stressful as I anticipated because I've gotten a handle on keeping ahead of the laundry and house cleaning. Thanks to Lisa for the helping hand here and there and to Liz for excellent babysitting.
Bottom line is we're surviving and I've only really lost my rag twice. This feels good.
Baby Boy is finally sleeping in his own bed most of the night.
Kiddo had her first report card which was amazing.
The down side of the whole business is that as usual, when I feel like I'm keeping up at work it is usually associated with a feeling of some incompetence at work. In the constant striving to find balance between to the two, I often feel like one side or the other is winning. However, the fact that I continue to attempt to find balance has to count for something. Doesn't it?
In the mean time, as we prepare for Thanksgiving in this part of the world. I want you to know that I am thankful for all of you, my friends, and your prayers and support.
What are you thankful for?
